The cable was bought with the prime purpose of allowing me to place a mobile broadband dongle close to a window to facilitate better reception. The cable itself also undoubtedly acted as a signal enhancer compared with a smaller 30cm cable I had previously used.
Rating: - No Expensive Extender Required
I needed a way of improving the wireless connection to my desktop located in the farthest corner of the house from my router. Simple solution, use the Belkin 3m USB extension cable to move the USB wireless dongle to the doorway and hey-presto! A poor, sloooow connection instantly became a good, strong fast connection and I can back up my laptop to my desktop simply and easily.
The USB extension cable does exactly what is says on the tin.

Very well made as to be expected from belkin.The reason for purchase was to save hunting round the side of my plasma when watching divx films on usb.All cabling hidden in the wall and no fear of damaging usb on tv as it remains permanently plugged in.A worthwhile investment---k.c.

Well made and very useful - I use it to raise my wireless network adaptor up near the ceiling and haven't lost the network connection since fitting it.

I needed an extension cable for my printer and was using three short cables all joined together. This worked but there were a lot of connections which could and did work loose. I bought this Belkin extension cable and have not looked back since. It is just what I wanted, I got it well within the time stated and certainly at a price that I consider excellent. I would certainly recommend buying one of these to anyone in the same position that I was.
