DOn't buy this item if you want it to use for proper fitness and excercise. Firstly, you have to buy non Apple earphones as the standard white apple earphones fall out due to sweat and once you have bought yourself a proper pair of headphones you realise you can't alter up or down the volume.

not really great compared to the old shuffle, i would wait until the new shuffle comes out, great small size, but the con is you have to buy apple i-phones because the controls are on the headphones, therefore rending the owner using their own headphones useless! definitely wait for the new ipod shuffle. it looks like the 2nd gen. one, and apple have gone back to the older model, nice one apple!

An excellent bit of kit for exercising with which represents great value for money. I run a lot, lift weights, and do circuit training. It is small and inconspicuous, allows complete freedom of movement, and is easily attached to clothing. Rating: - Shocker - bring back 2nd generation
Bought this after 2nd generation shuffle which I used solely for running died. Couldn't find anywhere selling the 2nd generation so had to buy this one. Its all been said before but these headphones aren't suitable for training and with this you need to use their headphones or the thing doesn't work. Only solution is to shell out on a third party's system allowing the use of decent headphones.
